    1. Thank you Sandee! Watching cats watch videos is one of the most entertaining things in this world. Dizzy has tried to figure out “where they went” quite a few times! 😂

Have a beautiful day, my friend. Always love hearing from you!

  1. This is such a good idea, quite a good experiment I think! My dog used to watch TV for a few minutes from time to time, but catkins doesn’t seem to quite understand it (to be fair, he doesn’t seem to understand much). He seems very uninterested in pretty much anything that could or should be fun for cats. He’s so laid back, aka lazy! I’m still concerned at the thought of playing that live bird feeder cam video though – I bet he’d choose that moment to be interested and in a blink my laptop screen will be destroyed 😂

I’ve seen a similar no.2 fish thing somewhere on another YouTube video. I think it was being played on someone’s iPad that they put on the floor and their cat was jumping on it, trying to get the fishies! He really seemed pretty taken by it, jumping around and determined to catch some.
I could watch that no.9 coral reef video as a way to de-stress, it’s so pretty and quite soothing.

You’ve found some brilliant ones here, Holly. I’d be really interested to learn what other cats are like with stuff like this – if you show your cat videos, is there any kind of response and interest, or does he practically sigh and meow under his breath “oh these immature humans, this is all so beneath me. I’ve got a nap to get back to” 😂
    Caz xxxx

    1. I laughed when I read this, Caz. When you describe your catkins, it just really warms my heart. Virgil is one of a kind and I LOVE that about him! 😀 Unique always wins in my book any day! He really is one seriously chill personality. I had a cat like him and it was very relaxing to be around – the energy is so soothing! Much less worrying about something in the house getting torn up, haha!

You said it best – this is a great experiment. Our cats are as diverse in personality as we are, really. Some are laid back, some are always wired and some are in between. Dizzy tends to be easily excitable (unless she’s in drama queen mode) and loves videos like this. They don’t hold her attention as long as some of my other cats did, though. My Shuggy Boo would’ve probably watched calmly and eventually fall asleep. 😁

Isn’t that coral reef incredible? I thought the exact same thing you did! Just might be pulling that one into the chronic stress relief arsenal for myself, for sure. Hope you enjoy too. 🙂 Sending love and hugs your way my friend. Thanks for always leaving the very best comments! ♥

  2. These are amazing!! We found one that I can’t remember the name of right off that Amber loves! She tries her hardest to get those birds. It keeps us all entertained because we’re laughing at her! 🤣 I’ll have to try the games with her. I bet she’ll just love those!

I hope you’ve had a wonderful day!! Hugs and love! 🤗💕🤗

    1. 😹 Isn’t it hilarious to see their reaction? They really believe this is happening here and now, right in their space! Dizzy will always look around to see if maybe they flew somewhere and she’s just really missing something obvious! 😂 It is a lot of fun! I’d love to know which video it was that you had for Amber. Hopefully she will enjoy these too!

Sending loads of love and endless hugs right back at ya, my dear friend! 😘🤗

      1. It is hilarious! Amber does the same thing with looking around when they fly off. It cracks me up every time! The video she loves is 8 Hour Bird Bonanza. It’s seriously 8 hours!

  3. Holly, THANK YOU for these videos! Lately Hubby has been putting on cartoons, nature videos and Sesame Street for our cats. They love them!! We had to stay away from birds and mice, however, because one of our cats attempted to jump up to go after a mouse. We don’t relish our TV broken or anyone hurt, so Hubby is figuring out a happy medium. I’ve got darling pictures of our cats watching videos. It is precious to watch!!

    1. Hi Amy!! You are certainly welcome. I have the biggest smile on my face because of your comment. It makes me very happy to know what I’ve written helped someone in any way!

I chuckled and grinned when you mentioned your cats loving the cartoons, nature videos and Sesame Street! That’s wonderful! 😀 I can see them in my mind’s eye enjoying it. Definitely keep those photos of your cats watching videos. If that doesn’t warm the heart – I don’t know what would! It is definitely precious indeed.

I savvy what you’re saying about the broken tv or someone getting hurt. They get quite intense when watching their birds, squirrels, rodents, etc. All bets are off at that point! 🙂 Hope you do enjoy these and that your kiddos find it relaxing!

All my love to you dear Amy! ♥ Give the little ones paw kisses from Holly! 😻

    1. Aw! I am so grateful. I definitely try for unique posts and it makes me smile to hear you think so! I greatly appreciate you stopping in and sharing your thoughts with me! Hope you & yours are well this day!

  4. THank you Holly, my cats will love this. My little Alley watches travel shows with me and we all laugh. I guess she loves those drone shots. I have had the fish on before and birds and that is so fun to watch the cats (we have 3) come out to investigate.
I am finally getting a chance to stop and visit with some of my favorite bloggers, you guys have been busy. I left a comment on another reply from you on your cat crafts posts (sorry so long to get back, some family issues we are taking care of at this time) anyway, thank you so much for sharing with us all. Have a great weekend.

    1. You are so very welcome my friend! Alley sounds precious! Isn’t it hilarious to see how intrigued they are by our choice in entertainment? They are far more entertaining than TV any day 😀

It is always so nice to have you here! I pray things are calming down within your family? 🤗 So sorry you’ve been having to deal with all of that. I apologize for my delay as well. Hubby and I both became very sick from the flu and some complications. I had some terribly difficult days as a result. I’m trying to get back into the swing of things now…

Still planning to add your craft to the list because I just love it & think others will too! 💞 Praying you & yours are well my friend. Thank you as ALWAYS for coming by!

  5. Charlee: “Our Dada says he just stumbled across one of those bird videos for cats on Amazon Prime and added it to his watch list for us. We’re really looking forward to seeing it.”
Chaplin: “First we need to figure out how to make popcorn in the microwave though!”

    1. Right?!? Doesn’t that look incredibly soothing? 🙂 I thought the very same thing, which is why I couldn’t resist adding it to the list.

Thank you so much Diane. Always a joy to hear from you! 💞

    1. Aw bless your heart for such a nice comment. I sincerely hope it does brighten your day! That would make me very happy. Sending lots of love your way. I hope you and yours have a blessed upcoming weekend!

    1. Hey there my friend! Isn’t that coral reef absolutely stunning? We could definitely sit back and unwind with that one after a long day’s work 🙂 So glad you enjoyed these, Christy. Thank you so much for coming by! 💕

  6. funny, I was expecting funny cat videos but it was videos for cats. Pinkie and Midnight really appreciate this post as they think I should give them some TV time too. They especially like the bird ones.

    1. Awww!! I am so glad Pinkie & Midnight enjoyed this post! As spoiled and loved as your kiddos are – I know they will always (and only) get the best life has to offer! 😉

So grateful you stopped in my friend! I’ve been out of touch with the flu and then no internet. It sure has been an eventful month (sigh!) Sending you and yours lots of love! 💞

      1. I am sorry you haven’t felt well. I hope you’re all better now. I’d go nutty without the internet. Hope everything goes much more smoothly now. Love the look of your new banner on your front page — bright and whimsical. Reminds me of the way the cats will peek their head out around the corner of the hallway — especially if I’m heading for the kitchen, lol. Pinkie, Midnight and I are hoping this month and the rest of the year goes great for you.

  7. I wonder if you can solve a problem. My sister has a cat that loves to watch the T. V. the problem is he sits on top of the T.V. and watches it upside down. This is all very well, but we cannot see because his head is in the way. How can we get him to watch the right way up?

    1. Hey there, Bill! 😊 Your comment really cracked me up, because honestly, our Dizzy did the exact same thing. Particular shows caught her interest more than others! So I could perfectly envision how your sister’s cat was hogging up the TV screen. They can be peculiar sometimes!

Since I’ve actually witnessed what you’re describing, I’m going to assume that you are being sincere with your question! 🙂

My best advice would be to find an irresistibly comfortable bed (or box) and place it in front of the tv in an area that doesn’t obstruct everyone else’s view. Each time kitty goes climbing on top of the TV to watch upside down, pull him down and place him in the box or bed. If he is motivated by food – reward him with his favorite treat for sitting in the bed or box. Telling him “no” each time he has to be removed from on top of the TV will reinforce that his being there is not appreciated, but being inside the spot made just for him brings treats (or affection)! 😻 With repetition, he will start to understand what you’re asking of him.

Sorry that I don’t have a way to make him watch right side up while still sitting on top of the TV. Guess that’s a tough one! 🤣

Thanks for the laugh. I feel your pain on this one! Sending lots of love to you, your sister, and that troublemaking cutie pie!
